Related Transfers (The Wedgewood series) ‘ghost’ images made during the process of photographing the 36 Related Objects and Surrogate Portraits series. A kind of facsimile rolled and printed onto the pages of a small Moleskine sketch pad, susceptible to temperature, pressure and speed, the image produced is at times barely visible, resembling a watercolour more than a photograph. Durational and time-based these are transient, fugitive images, slowly disappearing over time, echoing early photographic experiments made by Thomas Wedgewood who was unable to ‘fix’ his images.
