Off Screen
A series of 6 screenprints in film poster format, one for each 16mm film made by the artists. The title, running time and where the film was premiered is printed in grey text beneath an image of various film cans representing the negatives, the sound magnetic tape the cutting copy etc. The variation in the number of cans suggests the complexity or simplicity of the film project. An exaggerated half-tone explodes the different hand writing on the labels. This is an archival image, a ‘back-up’ showing the constituent elements required to produce the final viewing copy that produce the film’s images we see on screen.
