33 Revolutions per Minute

A catalogue of sound samples made up of one-second extracts taken from every album in our record collection of vinyl and worked into a sound installation. Each musical style — according to given guidelines — is channeled through a speaker. There are as many speakers as there are styles, creating a sonic landscape in the exhibition space. Each (one-second) extract is played randomly avoiding any definitive editing and allowing an infinite number of variations from one sound work. To avoid a total sonic blast, moments of silence of variable lengths are introduced into each channel. The total duration of the sound piece lasts approximately 20 minutes.

The following tracks are extracts from the sound installation.
